     The University of Information Technology and Communications hosted the training course on bibliographic cataloging and the Mark 21 standard according to the rules and regulations of the book, which was held in cooperation with the Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The course aims at implementing the sustainable development plan, which is a basic requirement for the knowledge society. This course is provided by the center to equip the office staff in the Arab libraries with the basic skills that enable them to work in the electronic environment and also to prepare databases for Arabic libraries according to the latest standards and specifications in the world.
The President of the University, Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, praised the work of the university's assistant professor, Dr. Jane Jalil Atefian, in cooperation with the Unified Arab Index Center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab brothers in participating in and contributing to the preparation of this session.

For his part, President of the Arab Index Center Dr. Saleh Al-Misnad said in his speech to the audience that "this course is one of the training courses offered by the Center in several areas, including books, periodicals, manuscripts, etc., and it is necessary to invest and develop our personal skills, The bibliographic rules need to organize the data thoroughly and try to publish it in the index of the Arab index and the non-monopolization of local libraries and full attention to the application of international standards.

Cooperation between the Unified Arab Index Center under the chairmanship of Dr. Saleh Al Missned from Saudi Arabia and the presence of Professor Mohamed Ramadan Abdul Hafiz from the Republic of Egypt and the Research and Development Department in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
