The University of Information Technology  and Communications continued its work of digital transformation workshop strategies and applications for its second consecutive day.
The Committee for the Coordination and Management of Government Activity in the direction of the establishment of e-government in the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers and in cooperation with the University of Information Technology and Communication and ESCWA organized a workshop on digital transformation strategies and applications.
The workshop was attended by a group of Arab speakers as well as professors from the University of Information Technology and Communications. The workshop was held for two days and was attended by representatives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and some agents and representatives of ministries and Iraqi bodies, government universities and private colleges.
On the second day of the workshop, the workshop discussed the best practices in the digital government strategies, where some examples were taken from the Arab region and beyond. The fifth session dealt with the presentation of the work of the Center for Continuing Education at the University and finally a session on a national roadmap for the government's digital strategy
This workshop comes within the framework of the sustainable training program at the University of Information Technology and Communications for digital transformation towards e-government. The workshop concluded with several recommendations and proposals that focused on the importance of providing the necessary infrastructure to complete the e-government project.
The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Prof. Dr. Abbas M. Al-Bakry presented the University's shield to representatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Dr. Haidar Freihat and Dr. Nawar Al-Awa, in appreciation of their efforts in making the workshop a success.
