The University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the activities of Baghdad International Fair in its 44th session, with the participation of the Iraqi Commission for Computers and Informatics .Dr. Abbas Mohsen al-Bakri, the university president and the head of the Commission, opened the Hall of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, University of Information Technology and Communications and the Iraqi Commission for Computers and Informatics in Baghdad Hall.
The university president pointed to the importance of this participation and the focus on building cooperative relations between the governmental and private institutions and companies as well as the foreign and Arab countries participating in the activities of this session which was characterized by an excellent Arab and international presence, in addition to what represented such important gatherings in order to introduce the institution and services that can Offer them to their internal and external audiences. On the sidelines of this participation, the Presidency of the University of Information Technology and Communications , under the patronage and attendance of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa, in cooperation with the management of the exhibition held a workshop on the role of the university in supporting the e-government project. In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications, as well as companies, institutions, interested parties and specialists in this field. The workshop also included a presentation of the e-government project, the findings of this committee and the problems and obstacles facing its work, in addition to a lecture by the representative of the Chinese company Huawei on the latest electronic developments in the field of information security and software systems. Another lecture dealt with e-government records and how to deal with them and conservation devices Warehousing and encryption of important information, while the University and the Commission presented their systems projects through two separate lectures on the designed systems, which were marketed to state institutions, works very well and other projects designed to suit the foundations' requirments. all this is done through teams of specialists in the field of informatics and computing, where these systems reduce the time and effort goes beyond red tape and eliminate the financial and administrative corruption and provide services to citizens and the easiest quickest ways and this is what our government aims to achieve This is also an important participation in light of the victories of our heroic army and our holy mobilization and the liberation of our land from the desecration of terrorism . The president of the university has ordered the contracting of popular groups who wish to provide them with FREEelectronic systems. The most important thing they have for the safety and security of this country has been the actual cooperation with some factions affiliated with the popular crowd in the exhibition. The Committee of the Needs of the Labor Market at the University of Information Technology and Communications headed by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Jane Jalil Setifan, visited several banks and civil and governmental institutions in order to identify what these institutions want qualities and qualifications in graduate students to help them succeed in their field of work. The university's pavilion at the Baghdad International Fair received a group of people interested in the field of systems and software, whether they are individuals or institutions who are asking about the training courses and the possibility of the university and the organization to train the employees of these institutions and companies in a schedule of courses prepared throughout the year by specialists in the field of informatics. A group of university staff and the Commission distributed leaflets and publications containing the definition of electronic systems on the wings of the ministries and companies participating in the exhibition and answer their questions in the field of systems and competitive prices compared to commercial companies and the possibility of cooperative agreements For his part, President of the university and the Commission Professor Dr. Abbas Bakri stressed the importance of participation in the events of Baghdad International Fair despite the limited potential and the austerity of the country, stressing the need to provide all the requirements for the success of participation encouraging the need to publicize the role of the university and the Commission and systems and electronic programs designed for Reducing the shortening of time and detection of errors and the elimination of routine and transparency in work, which is a step in the implementation of e-government that the government seeks to achieve. At the end of the participation, the University of Information Technology and Communications received a shield of excellence from the Ministry of Commerce / General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions, and the University and the Commission received a certificate of appreciation for their active participation in the 44th session of Baghdad International Fair.
